Philipp Tschanz & Pietro Del Sonno: Colorful Fruits

With Colorful fruits, the Artstübli Gallery gives a documentary look on the work and practice of Philipp Tschanz and Pietro Del Sonno, the fathers of the hip-hop subculture that gave birth to graffiti art in Basel.

Philipp Tschanz, aka Dest Jones, sketched his first graffitis at the age of 11 and was one of the first to spray on the railway line in 1987.

Pietro Del Sonno, alias g204, had his first experience with graffiti writing in Basel as early as 1982.

Since the beginning of their activity, they signed their works as TCC – The Color Children, the original writer crew of Basel.
