Pierre Huyghe
This summer, the first solo exhibition of Pierre Huyghe in a Swiss museum brings together new works, recent films, and earlier pieces. Known for challenging conventional exhibition formats, the artist creates speculative fictions where life forms, technology, and biological matter evolve in dynamic, unpredictable situations.
The exhibition is conceived as a site-specific experience where boundaries between body and environment dissolve. The display functions as a "soulscape", a polyphonic inner world that explores hybrid existence without hierarchy between the living and the artificial, the human and the non-human. Fictions serve as vehicles to access counterfactual worlds and experience reality from an outside perspective.
