Regionale 21

Over the years, the annual exhibition of the Basel artists “Regionale” has established itself as a cross-border forum for contemporary art from the three-country region, and has grown further becoming an important and highly anticipated event.

The exhibition brings together various artists works, connecting a broad region and numerous organizers who come together beyond all divergences and transforms geographical boundaries into permeable territories. The diversity of the production is evident in the areas of painting, photography, video and object art, room and wall installation. The Regionale wants to be a mirror of the current, the joyful and competitive get-together for artists, organizers and the public.
