Richard Serra: Films and Videotapes
Presented in a solo show is one of the most influential artists working today. He became famous with monumental steel outdoor sculptures, of which the sculpture “Intersection” is located on Theaterplatz in Basel. However, the pioneering exhibition turns the spotlight on Serra’s work in film and video dating back to 1968, presenting almost the entire output in these genres as a self-contained division of his oeuvre.
In conjunction with the exhibition, the publication “Richard Serra: Films and Videotapes” will appear as volume seven in our Manual series. The book will include essays by Tom Holert and Maja Naef and a preface and notes on the works by Søren Grammel.
