Rule of Three

In the context of the group show of Basel’s project spaces ∑, taking place at Villa Renata Basel, Deuxpiece presents Rule of Three with Simeon Amstutz (1985, New York), Sabrina Tamara Brückner (1990, Berlin), Matthias Gabi (1981, Zurich).
Rule of Three is a narrative concept. In drama, figures of speech and rhetorics the triad, trinominal structure and threefold appearance aims at a certain effect. The show will bear on this formula and presents three artists from three metropoles, working in three different media. The aesthetic diverging positions share a research-based approach and the continuous questioning of their media.
The exhibition will take place at Villa Renata, Socinstrasse 16 & Schwarze Erle, Schwarzwaldalle 269, Basel.
