Shuang Li: Alliance

Kunsthalle Basel presents the first European institutional solo exhibition by Shuang Li, exploring how digital technologies shape human relationships, bodies, and desire. Working across performance, sculpture, video, and digital media, Li investigates the material infrastructures of the digital world and the hidden cracks within uneven global information flows.

The exhibition premieres the artist's most expansive film to date, presented inside a specially conceived, spatially immersive installation. Taking inspiration from severe weather phenomena and the practice of "storm chasing", Li uses the pursuit of tornadoes and hurricanes as a potent metaphor for navigating the algorithmic systems, climate volatility, and boundless forces of control that define the digital age.
