Steve McQueen: Bass

The exhibition presents one of the most recent works by Steve McQueen. The world-renowned artist and Academy Award-winning filmmaker returns to Schaulager with his most abstract work to date, 12 years after his ground-breaking exhibition conceived as a “City of Cinemas”, which featured over 20 video and film installations. “Bass”, created specifically with Schaulager’s architecture in mind, is largely inspired by McQueen’s deep interest in how light, colour, and sound affect our physical perception of space and time.
