Temporary Roomlab: United Samplings

Temporary Roomlab is working with Readymade and Sampling Strategies for their very first exhibition at Guillaume Daeppen Gallery – using collections of materials from popular culture – the team then reassembles, mixes and samples. A continuous process whose definitive end is not given.
The installation combines old cultural images remixed in order to create a new and unexpected visual language and content, much like an open string of decisions and selections between minimal and maximal varying strategies. A Minimax Principle, leaving all possibilities open.
The installation United Sampling gives us the distortion of image of popular culture – space is used to frame perception and reality.
Temporary Roomlab consists of an informal group with loosely associated members- but with a clear division of tasks.
