Alex Mirutziu and TAH29: Around the Truth is the Truth

Around the Truth is the Truth showcases Romanian artist Alex Mirutziu’s work. Using different media, he intervenes on his pieces with signs and marks which convey a direct and crude sensation, for example overpainting the details portrayed in his photographs. His research aim to highlight the contrast between objective reality and subjective perception, investigating how truth can be variously constructed instead of being an absolute category.

The project The Artist as Himself at 29 (TAH 29) focusses on the instability of self-narrations and the inevitable distortion of past events.
