Bani Abidi: An Unforeseen Situation

Neuer Berliner Kunstverein presents “An Unforeseen Situation”, a solo exhibition by the artist Bani Abidi. Basing her work on everyday and historical events, the artist deals with matters regarding nationalism and state power, blending facts and fiction. The exhibition showcases the video “An Unforeseen Situation (2015)”, in which Abidi relates to a series of state-run competitions, organized by the Ministry of Sport in the Pakistani region of Punjab in 2014.
