Different Instincts
This group exhibition,”Different Instincts”, composed by 13 Spanish speaking artists living in Berlin, is curated by Ana Márquez and Anna Corpas.
This is an exhibition of contemporary art which has been created as a result of a workshop on cultural enterprise managed by Instituto Cervantes, La Red and GlogauAir Berlin. It is being carried out by a group of multidisciplinary artists with one purpose: make the visitors think over the nature of certain impulses established as “normal” in a social context.
The artists Irene Cruz, Sara Ferrer, Ana Guallart, Candela Paniagua, Georgina Espasa, Sergi Solanas, Belén Majdalani, Diego Puerto, Jorge Benavides, Camilo Correa, Elen Moos, María de Sande and Ana Márquez propose a serie of reactions to stimulus that do belong to our daily lives.
New sensations invite us to experiment with the limits of consciousness with the intention of surprising. It will be induced to participants who dare, to perform actions prohibited or accepted by the society. What if we demonstrate forgetting taboos? Would that change our daily lives?
