Erwin Kneihsl: That’s it

That’s it is the title of the eighth solo show hosted at Galerie Guido W. Baudach of artist Erwin Kneihsl, known for his black and white analog photographies, obtained transferring the images by hand deduction on Barite paper.

The pictures are installed involving actively the exhibition space: they are not attached to the walls but distributed on the floor. The entrances and windows of the space are covered with white shoji paper, transmitting the shaded atmosphere of the pictures to the environment as well. In the displayed images, which portray various subjects immersed in expressive lights , Kneihsl combines aspects of Western art history with aesthetic concepts from the Japanese culture.
