Food
Schinkel Pavillon presents “Food”, a transdisciplinary programme exploring the meeting point of art, sensory experience and social engagement. It creates a platform for collective encounters that connect food production, community and forward-thinking perspectives, inviting the audience to play an active role in the experience.
The radically provocative performance group “Young Boy Dancing Group” collaborates with artist and chef Caique Tizzi to stage a dynamic, culinary, multi-sensory event in which a four-course menu unfolds alongside live performances, merging spectacle with gastronomy.
“Otarkino”, developed by the food collective Otark in collaboration with film curator Vincent Stroep, merges cinema and gastronomy into immersive film-dinner experiences. At Schinkel Pavillon, the project responds to Carlos Casas’ film “Cemetery”, transforming the space into a fusion of taste, scent, sound and image. The film follows an elephant and his mahout on a journey to a mythical graveyard, reflecting on death, reincarnation and immortality through Hindu and Buddhist traditions.
The “Pickle Bar” project space, which brings together fermented food culture, performance and discourse, appears in collaboration with artist Lila Steinkampf and musician-composer Krista Papista. Their evening combines live music and an artistic food installation, extending the exhibition’s exploration of sensory and social connections.
