John Skoog: Reduit (Redoubt)

Alexander Levy hosts the screening of “Reduit (Redoubt)”, the video work John Skoog won the Baloise Art Award with during the 2014 Art Basel.

Set in the flat farmlands of south Sweden, “Reduit (Redoubt)” presents a portrait of local farm-worker Karl-Göran Persson through the decaying residues of his legacy. Fragments of various stories about Persson and his life are re-told by the camera of the artist.
