Jonathan Hope: Spirits and Ancestors

On the occasion of 2017 Gallery Weekend Berlin, Galerie Max Hetzler presents the exhibition “Spirits and Ancestors”: the show features animist artifacts, which the curator Jonathan Hope has collected during his travels, in the form of ceremonial masks and wooden sculpture made by the traditional communities of many different geographical regions.
