Marianne Vitale: Fat City

Contemporary Fine Arts , Grolmanstraße 32/33

Contemporary Fine Arts presents “Fat City”, featuring a new body of work by Marianne Vitale: the series of steel sculptures “Common Crossings” and painted wooden “Boxers” as symbols of nostalgia and the inevitable entropic decay and disuse of objects in changing times. The exhibition takes its title from the 1969 Leonard Gardner novel, in which the author employs the term “Fat City” ironically, outdated slang describing a state of comfortable prosperity.
