Öyvind Fahlström: Sitting…Blocks 1965–1966

Aurel Scheibler and The Öyvind Fahlström Foundation organizes an exhibition by Öyvind Fahlström (1928–1976) featuring a selection of his works from the 1960s and 1970s and his first variable sculpture, “Sitting…Blocks from 1965-66“.

Öyvind Fahlström is a pioneer of interactive multimedia art. In 1961, when he moved to New York he invented “variable painting” and began to express meanings and events solely with the use of abstract character-forms.
