Rosa Barba: The Color Out of Space

Neuer Berliner Kunstverein (n.b.k.) showcases the work of Rosa Barba, whose artistic practice of filmmaking goes far beyond the moving image. In “The Color Out of Space”, her film installations and objects associate image, language, text and apparatus generating a new pictorial materiality. Examining industrial cinema, her conceptual practice observes and questions its stagings, its formats, gestures and messages by removing them from their original context, creating and presenting them in a dazzling new manner.
