Shimabuku: Bow to Bow

Barbara Wien presents “Bow to Bow”, a solo exhibition by the artist Shimabuku. The show displays the artist’s last film “Bow to Bow”: 12-minute of video reflecting on the homonymic nature of the word “bow” (also in Japanese: Yumi), which refers at once to the weapon used to propel arrows and a device for playing stringed instruments. Shimabuku investigates the relation between the archery equipment and the musical tool.
