Martina Gamboni, Via Edmondo de Amicis, 19

Martina Gamboni hosts in its spaces installations by two different design studios.

“Marble Matters” curated by Bloc studios, is a show emerging from the fusion of different disciplines including art, photography and plant installations. Design and craftsmanship merge to give life to the work of Dutch designer Sabine Marcelis and Swedish photographer Carl Kleiner. The installation by Sabine Marcelis presents “Voie Lights – The stone edition”, a collection of sculpture-lamps with neon and marble, the result of her investigation of the manipulation of the light path. Carl Kleiner’s installation designed with Bloc studios “Posture Vases”, is inspired by his 2014 photo “Posture” creating plant installations where the flowers are mounted on a lightweight construction of wires on marble bases, creating poetic sculptural compositions.

Along with Bloc studios, Campbell-Rey (Duncan Campbell and Charlotte Rey) features their octagonal marble tables as part of an installation aiming to recreate a salon-style meeting room. Collaborating with partners for wallpapers, carpet and additional furniture, the installation celebrates the juxtaposition of textures and materials.

The installation and collection opens during Salone from 10am until 6pm, and then will remain in place for one year.
