Alessandro Sciaraffa: Harmonic Room
Curators Patrizia Cirino and Denise Tamborrino present the exhibition Harmonic Room by Alessandro Sciaraffa (Turin, 1976), in collaboration with the National Museums of Bologna – Regional Directorate of National Museums of Emilia-Romagna and MAMbo – Museum of Modern Art of Bologna, part of the Bologna Civic Museums sector.
The artist transforms the historic former Church of San Mattia into an immersive space where sound, light, and vibrations intertwine, amplifying the audience’s perception in a dialogue between tradition and innovation. Visitors are actively engaged in a unique sensory journey.
Sciaraffa explores the relationship between the individual and the cosmos, offering an experience that transcends traditional representation to resonate with the deepest layers of human sensitivity. Each artwork contributes to evoking a kaleidoscope of sensations: from meditative calm to a sense of cosmic vastness, from exploratory curiosity to profound inner connection.
The interaction between sound, light, and vibrations encourages both personal and collective reflection, transporting visitors into a suspended dimension of time, where space itself becomes a resonating chamber for emotions and thoughts.
