Mattia Pajè: Fuori Terra
Fuori Terra is the solo exhibition of Mattia Pajè curated by Giovanni Rendina, hosted in the evocative rooms of Palazzo Vizzani, home of the association Alchemilla.
“Fuori Terra” is a sculptural group composed of humanoid figures immersed in an installation environment, readable as a cosmogony created from two visual alphabets: new age aesthetics and commercial television.
The exhibition develops from the artist’s interest in the emergence of new regimes of truth, which can be traced starting from the contents that populate social networks, linked to the revival of “magical” themes and conspiracy theories and the loss of information through newspapers and television that has given way on online platforms to a multiplicity of theories and forms of esoteric knowledge, often in antithesis to scientific thought.
This kind of attention is expressed through the practice of drawing, which the artist carried out during the months of isolation. The resulting conjunction takes shape with the installation Fuori Terra, in which the artist presents mythical episodes, reproducing the museum practice of the diorama.
