Mercedes Azpilicueta: Bestiario de Lengüitas

Museion presents Bestiario de Lengüitas, Argentinian artist Mercedes Azpilicueta‘s first solo show. the project stands as chaotic and excessive – a provocation against a world that requires order, efficiency and transparency. The exhibition takes inspiration from a screenplay written by the artist – a screenplay of a potential future performance that might or might not take place. Draqings, costumes, sculptures, audio and video installations, wallpapers and a choir of grotesque characters are the protagonists of the exhibition space, a stage where the public is completely involved in this sensorial experience. Through the combination of visual and theatrical strategies, as well as a strong humorous aspect, the artist invites us to discuss the ways in which we live this world.
