The 13th Busan International Video Art Festival
Busan International Video Art Festival (BIVAF) has been held since 2004 for the purpose of revitalizing video-art field. Having been held by “Ban-di”, an alternative space in Busan, from 2004 to 2007, Busan International Video Art Festival was launched as an independent body in 2007, constantly holding the annual festival until 2014. Breaking a 2-year period of blank in 2017, Busan International Video Art Festival has revived again, taking a significant role in enlarging and invigorating video art.
By conducting submission from all over the world, Busan International Video Art Festival aims to support creative and experimental video-art artists, as well as to expand the base for this field of art. Furthermore, in order to grasp the latest trend of contemporary video art in and out of Korea, BIVAF is planning to organize exhibition not only with selected works, but also with works invited from professional curating procedure.
