Artist Marinella Senatore intervenes in the city of Volterra, Tuscany, with two bodies of work: the first is the installation “Bodies in Alliance”, in the public square of Piazza dei Priori. Here, Senatore creates a site-specific installation, a phrase built with sculptural wooden elements installed in different corners of the square. Inside the Pinacoteca, on the other hand, the artist proposes a series of bidimensional pieces, in dialogue with each other, with the exhibition space and the modern masterpieces here on view. Once more, Senatore invites viewers to discover new possible interpretations of reality.
The project is part of the initiative “Una boccata d’arte”, conceived by fondazione Elpis in collaboration with Galleria Continua. The project involves 20 Italian villages through as many artistic interventions, to endorse cultural recovery after the Covid19 emergency. On the weekend of September 12–13, 2020, all the projects will inaugurate at the same time to be open to the public for a month. More info available unaboccatadarte.it
