What’s Between, Between?

Nearly 15 years after “Gulf Futurism” emerged to describe the region’s hyper-modern aesthetic, this exhibition looks beyond the term’s surface to consider the ideologies, thinking, and national visions shaping these transformations. Using the metaphorical framework of salt and atmospheric layers, it offers conceptual scaffolding for visitors to construct meaning from their own multilayered experiences. Across works by 21 artists, the exhibition examines the socio-technical-ecological realities of living between tradition and disruption.
