Crossroads: Cultural Exchange between the Islamic Civilization, Europe and Beyond

The exhibition investigates the influence on shaping contemporary world of the constant flow of people, ideas, technology and art along ancient trade routes. ‘Crossroads: Cultural Exchange between the Islamic Civilization, Europe and Beyond’ is the result of the collaboration between Sharjah Museums Authority (SMA)  and the Museum of Islamic Art in Berlin (MIAB), to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Sharjah Museum of Islamic Civilization (SMIC). The pieces on view highlight the similarities in the fundamental nature of societies, culture, and knowledge throughout time.
