Farah Al Qasimi: Arrival

Third solo exhibition of Farah Al Qasimi at The Third Line, “Arrival“, using the language of horror cinema, reveals a new body of work featuring jinn folklore across the UAE.

Farah Al Qasimi is an artist and musician. She studied photography and music at Yale University, New Haven, Connecticut, where she earned her Bachelor and Master degrees. Farah’s practice over the years has moved fluidly between private and public spaces, but the content has primarily remained focused on locating the fantastic in the everyday. She also explores how consumer culture seduces people, particularly women, with promises of beauty or self-improvement.
