Mohammed Hindash: Beautopsy

FN Designs, Alserkal Avenue, Unit 26 Al Quoz 1, Street 8, Dubai, UAE

Beautopsy is the firs solo show of the young Jordanian artist Mohammed Hindash.
In a world where beauty and fantasy triumph over logic and reality, a thin line is drawn. This line represents a shift between two worlds where our conscious and subconscious exist. Our society has been shaped on an ideal world, a utopia where mankind can become superior by reaching certain aesthetical assets.
In Beautopsy, early stages of conflicts and insecurities are explored, and fueled by the unrealistic expectations of the world we live in today. All it takes is to point out that flaw.

Mohammed Hindash (b. 1989, Dubai) is an award winning Jordanian artist from Dubai. He began drawing ever since he could write, and it soon became his passion. Inspired by comic books throughout his teenage years, he expanded from ink drawings to painting and soon shifted his focus towards beauty portraits. After attending a summer program at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, he has had an opportunity to explore with charcoal, clay and paint. Currently studying Visual Communication – Studio Art at the American University in Dubai. Winning the Sheikha Manal Young Artist Award for Fine Arts is a step in the right direction as his work has been in over 20 gallery exhibitions, including the SIKKA Art Fair in 2012. He has also been part of various art projects in Dubai including the official mural for the Dubai Expo 2020 initiated by The Cultural Office and Dubai Ladies Club. Aiming for beauty and the ideas of perfection within his work and expanding with mediums that fascinate him, perceiving art as the power of beauty and what the eye can behold.
