Tasneem Alsultan: Saudi Tales of Love

The exhibition Saudi Tales of Love began as the artist’s reflection of her own personal story. Tasneem was married at 17 and became a mother at 21, she was divorced by when she was 27 and found herself as a single parent. When she started filing for divorce she realised that many Saudi women were in her same condition.

She then decided to develop this project by interviewing and taking photos of women who had similar experiences.

The artist took on photography as a hobby, when she moved back to her hom ecountry from the US where she attended a Master and wrote her final thesis on Saudi women who live abroad and face issues with their identity.
