Daniel Arsham: What Remains
Perrotin Dubai presents the debut solo exhibition “What Remains” by American artist Daniel Arsham, on view from 30 October 2025 to 10 January 2026. The exhibition features new sculpture, painting, drawing, and a sound installation, exploring themes of cultural memory and the passage of time.
Arsham transforms the gallery with copper-wrapped bonsai tree sculptures that double as functional speakers, playing ambient music and referencing Japanese Zen Buddhist culture. The exhibition also includes works from his Labyrinth series, inviting viewers to navigate intricate architectural compositions, and expands his long-term “Fictional Archaeology” project, presenting objects cast in geologic crystals, bronze, and fibreglass that explore collective memory.
“What Remains” marks Arsham’s first solo show in the UAE, offering a reflective encounter with time, nostalgia, and the artefacts shaping cultural identity.
