Vincent Abadie Hafez (Zepha): Superplasticizer

The Mine presents “Superplasticizer”, a solo exhibition by French artist Vincent Abadie Hafez (aka Zepha). In reference to the pliability and fusion of the materials, the artist transposes the concept to Dubai, a truly multicultural city: the superplasticizer functions as a kind of social glue that holds together a fully integrated city. For his new body of paintings, the artist uses a mix of cement, rubble, and sand from the streets of Dubai, the raw materials of the city, to create texturally rich canvases.
