Flavio Favelli: Profondo Oro
The exhibition is the second one of the "Arte in fabbrica" project
The solo exhibition by Flavio Favelli occupies the spaces of the historical textile factory Gori Tessuti in the province of Florence. “Profondo Oro” is also the second instalment of the “Arte in Fabbrica” programme, born to conciliate the daily rhythms of factory work with directed experience of art.
For the occasion, the artist presents a series of works never exhibited before, conceived to dialogue with the architecture hosting them. The exhibition path, recently opened to the public, consists of installations and sculptures, and one big wall painting, which will become a permanent part of one of the external facades. Favelli investigates the aspiration to luxury and economic wealth characterising the Italian society of the booming 1950s until recent days and the artist’s personal experience.
