Ibrahim Mahama: Capital Corpses

Capital Corpses, originally conceived for Fondazione Giuliani and White Cube Gallery, is currently on view, and now part of the permanent public collection at Ibrahim Mahama’s Red Clay Studio in Ghana. The work was produced between 2013 and 2018, when it was first shown internationally and consists of blackboards, motors, sewing machines and school desks exchanged with schools around the country.
