Adrian Wong: The Tiger Returns to the Mountain

K 11 Art Foundation presents an exhibition by the Hong Kong based artist Adrian Wong, titled “The Tiger Returns to the Mountain”, curated by David Chan. 

The exhibition starts with a large-scale, multi-sensory site-specific installation that references the cultural history of Hong Kong, offering a critical deconstruction of the city as a former colony and its self-anointed position as a global cultural capital. The multi-sensory juxtaposition of animation, sound and flashing light, contextualised within an artificial Chinese garden, offers a symbolic reinterpretation of Hong Kong’s hybrid identity.

The show is on view from 20 March to 29 April, 2017.
