CINEMA 2.0 Media Art Exhibition – The Phantom Machine

ifva, the flagship project spearheaded by Hong Kong Arts Centre, is committed in the promotion of new forms of cinema that embody innovative expressions and experimentations. In recognizing new trends of converging technologies and inter-disciplinarily, ifva collaborated with the local media art project art.ware in organizing Cinema 2.0, an extended arm of the festival, to support emergent and hybrid forms of works that stand at the crossroads between cinema and contemporary media art.
This year, CINEMA 2.0 will explore the idea of cinema as memory prosthetics and time machine via works by 3 international artists: Phil Solomon (USA), Polymorf (Netherland) and Verena Friedrich (Germany).

Guided Tours will be conducted, from 9 March – 29 March 2017, in Chinese or English by request and will be held to facilitate a more in-depth understanding of the artist and their works in the exhibition.
Please send the application to ifva@hkac.org.hk.
