Dai Yun : Bare Reality

Leo Gallery announces the first solo show, in the Hong Kong based gallery, of artist Dai Yun, titled “Bare Reality”.  The exhibition is focussed on the use of materials like iron, cement, bricks and concrete iron that have become its sculptural language. Architecture builds the city, and its materials crate the city.

The sculptural  language used is based on a remotion of the external visual elements to the complete essence of the structural framework, so  what results is a massive contrast between the texture of materials and the perception that the viewer has.
