Ho Tzu Nyen: The Critical Dictionary of Southeast Asia, Vol 1: G for Ghost (writers)

Asia Art Archive, 11/F Hollywood Centre, 233 Hollywood Road, Sheung Wan, Hong Kong

Asia Art Archive presents “The Critical Dictionary of Southeast Asia, Vol 1: G for Ghost (writers)”, a solo exhibition by the artist Ho Tzu Nyen, featuring an installation developed during his residency at AAA. The project displays an interactive internet platform created in collaboration with Pad.ma, Yasuhiro Morinaga, and Bani Haykal: questioning about the elements of union of the region called Southeast Asia, the artist creates a “dictionary” comprising narratives of shape-shifting and amorphous characters, ideas, and genres. The installation invites visitors and readers to think about questions of authorship, authenticity, and authority.

In conjunction with the installation, Ho is in conversation with AAA Researcher Chương-Đài Võ. AAA also hosts a brunch from 10am to 12pm.
