Kan Tai-keung: Ink in Motion

The third solo show at the gallery by the Hong Kong based artist

Alisan Fine Arts, Aberdeen, 2305 Hing Wai Centre, 7 Tin Wan Praya Road, Aberdeen, Hong Kong

The exhibition by Hong Kong ink artist and graphic designer Kan Tai-keung is an opportunity to discover around twenty of his recent paintings. Influenced by his ink master Lui Shou-kwan, Kan Tai-keung takes part to “New Ink Painting Movement” and he is the most representative contemporary ink painters in Hong Kong. In his practice, the artist takes inspiration from landscapes views, and natural elements such as pine trees, mountains, clouds, and flowing water. Working from an inspiration rooted in traditional Chinese painting and calligraphy, Kan’s incorporates cursive scripts and elements of graphic design in his works . Kan Tai-keung’s works are currently on view at newly reopened Hong Kong Museum of Art.
