Miwa Komatsu: Divine Spirit

The artist showcases her latest works include her signature “Guardian” series, inspired by her childhood memories, intertwining with her beliefs as well as her observations and senses of the world. Divine creatures, guardian lion dogs are the subject matters Komatsu often uses, they are the inspirations she takes from different religions, beliefs and mythological texts, among which Shinto has the most powerful influence on her creations.
