David Zwirner presents the solo exhibition “Propaganda” with new paintings by German artist Neo Rauchan marksing the artist’s debut solo show in China.
Born in 1960 in Leipzig, Rauch began developing his own style of figurative painting since the beginning of his career as an artist. Nowadays, Rauch is greatly known for his visually captivating compositions that bring together surrealism and the traditions of figurative painting into an entirely new level of visual experience.
“Propaganda” features both small and large-format paintings by Rauch. The works on show marked Rauch’s masterful skill as a colourist. This is Rauch’s eighth solo exhibition at David Zwirner, where he has been represented since 2000.
