Otto Boll, Solo Show

Otto Boll is an artist who operates from an expressly minimalist sensibility. His installations cut through emptiness. His fine, steal sculptures are like immaterial lines drawn in space. They balance on the thin line between the visible and what cannot be seen.

Boll creates sculptural experiences that destabilise the spectators’ position and challenge them to experience their surroundings, in a totally new way. The work highlights both the void and the infinite by illuminating their limits, and by making these limits (im)perceptible.    

Otto Boll (born 1952 Germany) studied art at the branch Münster of the Düsseldorf academy (class Ernst Hermanns) in late 70s.
