Wang Tiande: Awaiting

A solo exhibition by Wang Tiande; it’s his fourth solo show with Alisan Fine Arts. The artist is known for his landscape and calligraphic paintings: he uses incense sticks rather than brushes and has been working with this medium for more than 15 years. He follows a precise procedure to create his paintings: he paints on the first layer of rice paper with incense sticks and then paints on a second layer of paper with Chinese ink.
