Xie Rong: 家 Home

Galerie Huit showcases the solo debut by the London based – Chengdu born artist Xie Rong, also known as Echo Morgan, entitled “家 Home”.

The exhibition will feature a large scale ink painting that was made during the artist’s opening performance titled “I Am a brush” in 2011. For her debut at Galerie Huit, Xie has decided to create new works beginning from the past ones, seen as a metaphor for “endings and beginnings”. Her brand new performance is based on a first ever made screen for a screen – printing by a Chinese female’s hair , commemorating “I Am a Brush”, extending this gesture into the artist’s roots and origins.
