Zhou Yangming: The Continuum

Pearl Lam Galleries HK H Queen’s presents “Continuum“, a solo exhibition by Chinese artist Zhou Yangming, featuring a series of paintings from 2001 to 2018. Zhou does not consider individual paintings as representatives of a set period of time; rather, his paintings and their relationships with one another constitute a singular temporal universe. Using marker, Chinese ink, and acrylic paint in a disciplined manner, Zhou negotiates with the formal structure of painting through an intricate system of vertical lines, horizontal lines, and dots.
