Koray Ariş: The Skin We Live In

Arter presents Koray Ariş’s solo exhibition, “The Skin We Live In”, in its second-floor gallery from 12 December 2024 to 3 August 2025. Curated by Selen Ansen, the exhibition brings together the artist’s works from different periods and series through a site-specific arrangement, alongside objects and materials documenting the production processes in his studio. “The Skin We Live In” offers a comprehensive view of Ariş’s six-decade-long sculptural practice, exploring central themes in his work such as figure, skin, sound, movement, and balance. Showcasing the metamorphosis of forms, the approximately 300 works and objects on display create a shared territory where sculpture takes on a sensual dimension through materials such as wood, stone, metal, and leather.
