Daniel Buren: Illuminare lo spazio, lavori in situ e situati
Daniel Buren’s solo exhibition at Palazzo della Ragione in Bergamo, a project by GAMeC curated by Lorenzo Giusti
The exhibition of work by renowned French artist Daniel Buren under the title of Illuminare lo spazio (lavori in situ e situati) opens in Bergamo (a project by GAMeC – Galleria d’Arte Moderna e Contemporanea di Bergamo) on Thursday July 9, 2020 at the Palazzo della Ragione.
Illuminare lo spazio, lavori in situ e situati brings together key milestones in the artist’s research and his more recent interest in light—in particular in the qualities and aesthetic/constructive potential of optic fibre.
The exhibition presents a group of “in situ” interventions, imagined especially for the space, alongside a series of “situated” works which have been adapted according to the space.
Throughout his career Buren has created artworks that complicate the relationship between art and the structures that frame it.
