Gianluigi Toccafondo: L’immagine in movimento
In the five rooms of the ancient ducal hothouse, more than 1,000 works will be on show, carefully tracing the artistic activity linked to the San Marino artist’s production of animation, from 1989 to 2017.
The display features various series of drawings, most of which used for the creation of animated sequences, but also of short films (including the famous Pinocchio of 1999), title sequences (conceived for RAI television programmes and major events such as the Venice Film Festival), advertisements (including those devised for Levi’s Jeans and Sambuca Molinari) as well as video clips.
What’s more, a new work will be presented: the sequence of drawings produced to illustrate the new story by Ugo Cornia entitled Favola del gattino che voleva diventare il gatto con gli stivali, which will be the theme of an artist’s book published on the occasion of the exhibition.
