Ornaghi & Prestinari: Stille

The show, curated by Ilaria Mariotti, represents the fruit of the relationship established between the artists and Consorzio Depuratore in Santa Croce sull’Arno under the auspices of a project of wider scope begun in 2013 with strong support from the municipal authority of Santa Croce sull’Arno, GALLERIA CONTINUA, and the Arte Continua Association, all of which have always stressed the importance of relationships between art and territory and advocated the need for artists to be brought into greater involvement in reconsidering social questions.
“This occasion for encounter between the territory and international artists represents an important appointment on the annual calendar of our cultural events. The process in its entirety provides the occasion to explore and enhance various aspects of our territory and see how they are translated in the artist’s vision and metaphor during a moment of reflection that teaches us that nothing must be taken for granted. The encounter between productive and artistic excellence is a fundamentally interesting and important aspect for us” adds Councilor for Cultural Institutions and Policy
