Matera welcomes the site-specific work that will remain permanently in conclusion of Matera European Capital of Culture 2019. Saraceno’s repeated stays in the city fostered the inspiration that led to the creation of the artwork, which consists in a Catholic confessional box in which spider webs appear instead of priests with the intent to share their ancestral wisdom.
